This piece was part of a double commission for Sir Paul Craven-Robinson in Bath. He chose St.Michael and St.George as the chosen subjects. He wanted a realistic, almost graphic in it's accuracy. He had many stipulations. The eyes and the clouds behind. Giving it an air of importance and power. This painting was five foot by four foot. Handmade canvas and stretcher.
